First-Generation Students and College Persistence during COVID-19

banner-covid-college

The focus of this Working Group is on the ways COVID-19 impacts college persistence for first-generation college students (FGCS). Research suggests that FGCS tend to come from low-income households and arrive at college with fewer resources as compared to non-FGCS. What happens when FGCS return home? This group will use qualitative methods to assess this occurrence and provide administrators with data on the ways to best support vulnerable populations through an event.
