CONVERGE Collecting and Sharing Perishable Data Training Module: A Demonstration Webinar

Details

Date: August 6, 2021
Time: 12 to 12:30 pm MT

Description

This webinar provided a demonstration of the recently released CONVERGE Collecting and Sharing Perishable Data Training Module. This module provides an overview of what perishable data is, how to ethically collect it, and why such data is vital for advancing hazards and disaster research.

This recorded session should be of interest to educators, students, researchers, practitioners, or other professionals hoping to learn more about this free, online resource. The webinar featured tips for how you can integrate the Collecting and Sharing Perishable Data Training Module into your classroom or use it to advance your research. It also showed how the module functions and the resources associated with it. The new module, like the others in the series, concludes with a 10-question quiz. Upon successful completion of the quiz, users receive a certificate, which is worth one contact hour of general management training through the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) certification program.

The CONVERGE Collecting and Sharing Perishable Data Training Module—developed with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Science Foundation—is now available via the CONVERGE website. We encourage you to access it as well as the CONVERGE Assignment Bank and Annotated Bibliographies in advance of watching the recorded webinar.
