This Working Group will investigate the current global COVID-19 pandemic as a pivotal historical crisis and chance to examine and rethink human interactions with the non-/more-than human world. Subgroups will explore responses to animal welfare issues, highlight the need to initiate critical and creative actions on the human demand for animal products, and examine veganism as an instrument for building resilience to future extreme events.
