Both COVID-19 and climate change indicate the perils of exponential growth and the need to aggressively anticipate and prevent future catastrophe. This Working Group compares responses to the virus and ecological devastation, such as political denialism and acute versus slow onset effects. It also will track rapidly transformed public patterns that may point to a more sustainable future, such as diminished consumption, decreasing air emissions, rebounding natural ecologies, and more.
