Based on the outpouring of interest from the research community and our mission to advance convergence science for the benefit of humanity, CONVERGE has offered $1,000 awards to those launching COVID-19 Working Groups for Public Health and Social Sciences Research.
CONVERGE and the Social Science Extreme Events Research (SSEER) Network funded 89 COVID-19 Working Groups. We held a special Virtual Forum for those interested in leading or joining such a Working Group, as well as those who were simply interested in learning more.
During this forum, researchers had the opportunity to share ideas for Working Groups while connecting with one another. We also discussed the Working Group application requirements and began the process of prioritizing areas of pressing methodological, ethical, empirical, and societal concern.
For more information on the funded Working Groups, please view this webpage.
If you are interested in sharing an idea for a Working Group or information about one already formed, please email us at converge@colorado.edu.
This online meeting was recorded and posted on the CONVERGE Virtual Forum page. Please sign up for updates for future events and free resources through the CONVERGE website.
